Cooley Law School students advanced in the recent University of San Diego Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition, making it into the semi-finals. Some 46 teams from a couple dozen law schools around the country competed in the experience through elimination rounds that led to 16 teams, then 4 and on to the final win.
Cooley’s two teams, comprised of Joscelyn Gorsline, Andrew Shively, Peter Mularczyk, and Juan Moran, did well in the preliminary rounds and received positive feedback on their arguments, and the team of Gorsline and Shively made it into the 16-team round.
The teams were coached by Cooley professors Kathy Swedlow, Ron Bretz, Kate Butler, Terry Cavanaugh, Mark Dotson, and Alan Gershel.
