The Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) announced the election of three individuals to its Board of Directors: Paul Graham, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Brad Hansen of Mount Pleasant, and Paul Hess of Novi.
“These three outstanding professionals are each highly respected in the hospitality industry,” said Rob Gifford, president and chief executive officer of the MRA. “We are excited to have them join our Board of Directors.”
Gifford stated that the MRA Board of Directors is committed to assisting, representing, promoting and educating the foodservice industry.
Paul Graham, Jr. is president and general manager of Gallagher’s Eatery and Pub, family-owned establishments with locations in Kalamazoo and Paw Paw, Michigan. A graduate of Western Michigan University and the Gemological Institute of America, his original career path of gemologist and jewelry store manager was altered dramatically in 1998 when he was called upon to be general manager of his family’s first restaurant after it opened in Ann Arbor in 1998.
Brad Hansen is the president and chief executive officer of LaBelle Management, based in Mt. Pleasant. Hansen has a long career in the industry, including a tenure of 37 years with Labelle Management. LaBelle operates 26 restaurants and six hotels throughout the state of Michigan, operating 12 different brands.
Paul Hess is director of operations of Epoch Restaurant Group which operates restaurant properties, catering venues and private clubs. These include Forte Restaurant in Birmingham, Knot just a Bar in Bay Harbor and Omena, Epoch Catering and The Diamond Center in Novi, Genesys Banquet and Conference Center in Grand Blanc, and Orange Tree Golf Club in Orlando, FL. Paul has a diverse hospitality career which goes back over 30 years.
