Family law case training offered

The State Bar of Michigan Domestic Violence Committee recently offered free introductory training on how to handle pro bono domestic violence family law cases. The training took place at Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s Auburn Hills campus. Among those participating were (left to right) Lori Pourzan of Legal Services of South Central Michigan; Danielle Carter of Morris, Laing, Evans, Brock, & Kennedy Chtd; Cooley Associate Professor Ashley Lowe, SBM Domestic Violence Committee co-chair; Rebecca Shiemke of Michigan Poverty Law Program; and Jennifer Lamp of Jennifer V Lamp, Attorney At Law PLLC.  “The training is free to attorneys who are willing to volunteer to take take one case through a legal services provider doing family law services,” noted Lowe.
