Trott & Trott, P.C., a Farmington Hills-based real estate finance law firm, raised funds and donated time for a fourth consecutive year to support Starfish Family Services, a nonprofit organization located in Inkster serving thousands of children and families annually in metro Detroit. Employee volunteers paired up in teams to paint several classrooms and facilitate an end of the season clean up in the nonprofit’s organic garden—harvesting crops, weeding and preparing the garden for fall. In total, 60 employees donated 180 volunteer hours and $2,600 to the cause. Trott also contributed a $5,000 donation to the organization’s “An Evening for Starfish at The Henry Ford Museum,” where students and their families celebrated Starfish’s 50th anniversary. Trott will cap off its yearlong corporate giving initiative by partnering with Oakland Family Services for its Adopt-A-Family program in the months of October, November and December.
