Burns appointed to MHHA Legislative Policy Panel
Varnum attorney Lawrence P. Burns was recently appointed to serve on the Michigan Health and Hospital Association’s Legislative Policy Panel.
The panel reviews emerging health care legislation in a timely and efficient manner and recommends appropriate association response. In addition, the panel will assume a proactive role in identifying new legislative initiatives for the association to champion.
Burns has worked in health care law for more than 20 years as Chair of Varnum's Health Care Law practice area. He works with clients to develop innovative health care arrangements, including hospital-physician joint ventures and integrated delivery systems, and counsels hospitals on staffing matters, medical staff bylaws review and equitable use of credentialing criteria; He regularly counsels clients on significant compliance issues, including the Stark laws. In 2011, Best Lawyers named Burns Grand Rapids' “Lawyer of the Year” in Health Care Law.
Burns serves on the Institutional Review Board at Saint Mary's Health Care and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. He has written numerous articles on healthcare related issues.
Goble joins Warner Norcross as Director of Marketing
Experienced marketing professional Randall S. Goble has joined the law firm Warner Norcross & Judd LLP as Director of Marketing.
Goble brings more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience to his new role at Warner Norcross, one of the largest law firms in Michigan. He will be responsible for marketing, advertising, public relations, branding, social media, community relations, the web site, and supporting client development.

Goble holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Kendall College of Art & Design.
