Dustin Jackson honored as Up and Coming Lawyer
Dustin J. Jackson of Miller Johson has been recognized as an “Up and Coming Lawyer” for excelling in his field and being a standout among his peers. He will be honored at an awards luncheon in Detroit Dec. 13.
Michigan Lawyers Weekly chose 30 attorneys based on having established a name for themselves and going above and beyond — in their first ten years in practice. Jackson earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2009.
In his M&A practice, Jackson represents clients in numerous industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology, and healthcare. He has extensive experience on both the buy-side and sell-side of strategic and financial transactions involving a variety of transaction structures, including asset deals, stock deals, carve-out transactions, and transactions with consideration in the form of rollover equity and earn-outs.
Jackson strives to generate value by creating the appropriate transactional structure for the deal and seeking win-win opportunities. He welcomes the challenge of identifying the risks as well as the opportunities in a transaction.
Jackson actively engages with The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD). He was on the committee for the ACG Cup competition and recently was one of the business leaders involved in ACG University: Strategic Acquisitions. He serves as the co-chair of the ACG Inclusion Committee. Jackson is a 2018 Fellow with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows Program. The program accepts mid-career attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within the country’s leading law firms and largest companies, and the legal profession at large.
