The Thomas M. Cooley Law School unveils portrait, celebrates the Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund

Polly Brennan (third from the left) celebrates the unveiling of her portrait with her husband and founder of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Thomas E. Brennan (second from the left), and their children: William Brennan (far left), Thomas E. Brennan Jr. (third from the right), Peg Radelet (second from the right) and Marybeth Hicks (far right). (The Brennan's children John Brennan and Ellen Campbell are not pictured.) On Nov. 14, Cooley alumni and faculty gathered at the Country Club of Lansing for an event, An Evening of Good Taste, which featured wine tasting, a silent auction and raffle prizes to benefit the Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund, which is supported by alumni contributions, provides tuition assistance to Cooley students with financial need. The 24-inch by 36-inch oil on canvas painting of Polly Brennan will be on display at the Thomas E. Brennan Law Library at Cooley's Lansing campus, near a portrait of Thomas E. Brennan. The portrait of Mrs. Brennan was painted by Michigan artist Brian Kirschensteiner, a graduate of Michigan State University and the owner of the Cherrystone Studio in Ovid, Michigan. —photo courtesy of Cooley Law School
