Honigman ranked by Detroit Free Press as a 2011 top ten workplace in Michigan
Honigman is the only Law Firm in the large top workplaces category
DETROIT (November 16, 2011) - Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP ranked sixth on the Detroit Free Press 2011 Large Top Workplaces in Michigan list. Honigman is the only law firm ranked among the 25 companies in the large workplace category. The other top ten companies include many of Michigan's most prominent and innovative companies, including Quicken Loans/Quizzle, Plante Moran and FedEx, all of which are substantially larger than Honigman.
More than 1,000 companies were considered and more than 172,000 employees were surveyed in this process. Rankings were determined solely by employee interview and survey responses, including comments on key workplace factors such as working conditions, career opportunities and managers. Companies were included in one of three categories based on number of employees.
"This is the most rewarding type of award to receive, since our recognition is the result of what our team had to say about our workplace," said Robert D. Kubic, Honigman's Chief Operating Officer. "We are pleased to be on this list of top workplaces along with some of our local and national clients, as well as other well-regarded organizations."
Honigman has recently received a number of prestigious workplace awards. It is the only Michigan law firm recognized as one of the top 50 "Best Law Firms for Women" in the United States in 2008, 2009 and 2011 by the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) and Flex-Time Lawyers (rankings were not created in 2010). Honigman also earned the designation as one of Metropolitan Detroit's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work for by the Michigan Business and Professional Association in 2004, 2010 and 2011. The firm's Kalamazoo office received the same recognition by the same professional organization for West Michigan in 2011
