On the evening of January 17th the Judges were in; in Lansing's Cooley Center Lobby, that is, for the second annual Ingham County Bar Association (ICBA) Meet the Judges Reception.
Judges from District, Circuit, Court of Appeals, and the Michigan Supreme Court attended. While most were from Ingham County, there were also judges from Eaton, and Clinton/Gratiot Counties. They mingled with the over 100 lawyers present.
Led by Chair, Mark Hoover, the membership committee members Judge Clinton Canady, III, Lisa Babcock, Charles Lawler, Kevin Tyrrell, Chad Battle, and Tara Bachner, organized the reception. There was a special rate for the attendees; while members paid $40.00, non-members were charged a $60.00 registration fee, which included ICBA membership. Law students paid $20.00 and also became members. The evening generated both new contacts and new members to the ICBA.
