Employment lawyer joins Miller Canfield

Amy J. Zdravecky joins Miller Canfield as a principal in the Employment and Labor Group, bringing 20 years of experience in traditional labor law to the firm. She will reside in the Chicago and Grand Rapids offices.

Zdravecky represents employers throughout the U.S. in traditional labor relations and employment law matters, with an emphasis on National Labor Relations Board proceedings, union organizing drives and NLRB-conducted elections, arbitration cases, contract negotiations and employment discrimination matters. She has extensive experience in the hospitality, transportation, warehousing, healthcare and manufacturing industries.

"Amy has been recognized as one of the top 100 labor lawyers in the U.S. Her impressive experience and reputation as a labor lawyer will be a great resource to clients," said Megan P. Norris, leader of the Employment and Labor Group at Miller Canfield.

Zdravecky also provides client training and counseling on collective bargaining strategies and dealing with unions with confidence for union-represented employers, positive employee relations, union avoidance, sexual harassment and compliance, with a variety of employment-related statutes. She is an active member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association and is a member of the its Subcommittee on the Development of the Law under the NLRA. She is a contributing editor to the ABA's Journal of Labor and Employment, spring 2014 edition. Zdravecky is recognized as an up and coming labor and employment lawyer in Chambers USA and as a 2014 Leading Lawyer. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and her B.A., with high distinction, from the University of Michigan.
