Toastmasters Conference set for May 1-3 in Jackson

Toastmasters Conference “The Story in You” is set May 1-3, 2015, in Jackson. District 62 covers the majority of Michigan’s lower peninsula including Lansing and East Lansing.

Saturday activities will be held at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in Downtown Jackson, 209 E.  Washington Ave. Friday night and Sunday morning activities will be located at the Holiday Inn Jackson NW.

Toastmasters from all over Michigan will gather to compete in speech contests, attend educational workshops and celebrate achievements in public speaking and leadership. Special guests include Toastmasters International President Mohammed Murad and Keynote Speaker Kelly Swanson.

Toastmasters International is a worldwide non-prof it educational organization that helps people improve their public speaking and leadership skills.

The Saturday afternoon and evening program is open to the community. The community is invited to attend the Saturday International Speech Contest (Free), Buffet Dinner, International President’s keynote, Community Communication and Leadership awards and Kelly Swanson’s comedy keynote presentation of ‘Who Hijacked My Fairytale? How to Hang Onto Humor When Life Doesn’t Go The Way You Planned.’ The community may attend the International Speech contest for free or enjoy the entire evening program for $30 that includes dinner.
