State Rep. Brett Roberts (R-Eaton Township) hosted Henrietta Township Assistant Fire Chief Phil Poxson at the state Capitol for a Sept. 10 ceremony honoring local heroes. Legislators welcomed first responders from across Michigan to a ceremony to remember victims and honor heroes who lost their lives in the terror attacks of 9/11 in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania. The names of 14 first responders and servicemen from Michigan who died in the line of duty during the past year were read during the ceremony.
