Law firm elects president, vice-president

The Members of Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC have elected Mark J. Burzych as president and Ross K. Bower as vice-president.

 Burzych is a founding member of the firm and leads the firm’s business practice. His practice focuses on developing and implementing growth strategies for businesses with an emphasis on franchising.

His practice also includes intellectual property protection, liquor licensing and regulation, general corporate matters, business and finance transactions, real estate, and other business related matters.

Burzych is listed in the Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Leading Lawyers, and holds the highest rating available from the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory. He has also served on many boards and commissions, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Restaurant Association.

Bower joined the firm shortly after it opened in 2008 and became a partner in 2014. He leads the firm’s property tax practice and works with municipal clients, with an emphasis on zoning, building and planning, property tax appeals and special assessments, and Michigan’s Drain Code.

As part of the firm’s Municipal Practice Group, he provides counsel to public officials and clients as Township Attorney, Village Attorney, and City Attorney, and as counsel to County Drain Commissioners throughout Michigan where he handles litigation in administrative, trial, and appellate courts.
