PONTIAC (AP) — The name of a state trooper who died after being dragged for several miles in suburban Detroit is being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. Trooper Chad Wolf was struck while riding a motorcycle last August.
New names of officers are added to the memorial each spring in conjunction with National Police Week. The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports Wolf’s name will be added. The memorial honors law enforcement officers nationwide who have died in the line of duty.
Charles Warren Jr. is charged with reckless driving causing death and failure to stop at an accident. Free on bond, he faces a June 2 pretrial hearing in Oakland County Circuit Court.
