Heather Gilkey has joined the East Lansing law firm of Willingham & Coté, P.C.
She brings over 16 years of legal experience and will be further developing the firm’s Business & Corporate Law, Estate Planning and Real Estate Law practice areas.
Gilkey has worked as both a solo practitioner and in group practice.
Prior to private practice, she served as a law clerk for the Ingham County Friend of the Court and Michigan Supreme Court, Judicial Institute.
She is a former president and treasurer of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (Mid-Michigan Region), a member of the Ingham Country Bar Association, and a former board member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council.
In addition to her legal skills, Gilkey has extensive business, leadership and philanthropic experience via her community involvement with the Zonta Club of East Lansing Area, Junior League of Lansing, WKAR Development Counsel, Athena WIN and Impression 5 Science Center.
She is a graduate of Madonna University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English/Elementary Education; and of Michigan State University College of Law.
