Janssen elected vice chair of MSU Law Board of Trustees

The Michigan State University College of Law recently elected attorney Charles Janssen as vice chair of the board of trustees.

A shareholder at Foster Swift Collins & Smith P.C.'s Lansing office, Janssen's legal practice covers the spectrum of estate planning including wills, trusts, wealth management, family business planning and trust administration.

He graduated from the MSU Honors College in 1976 and the University of Michigan Law School in 1979.

A former chairperson of the Ingham County Bar Probate and Estate Planning section as well as the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Janssen was named the Best Lawyers in America 2016 Trusts and Estates "Lawyer of the Year," as well as the 2015 Elder Law "Lawyer of the Year" in Lansing. He has also been listed in Michigan Super Lawyers in the Estate Planning & Probate practice area since 2005.
