Volunteers needed to judge MSU Law 2017 Spring Appellate Advocacy Competition

Michigan State University College of Law needs judges for its 2017 Spring Appellate Advocacy Competition, during which all first-year students argue before a mock appellate court as part of their required legal writing course.

This year’s problem involves trademark infringement. No experience in intellectual property or trademark law is necessary. Judges will receive additional information including potential questions and arguments approximately two weeks before the arguments.

Judges are needed for the following times:

• Saturday, April 8: 8:30 a.m.−12:30 p.m.

• Saturday, April 8: 1:00 p.m.−5:00 p.m.

• Monday, April 10: 5:15 p.m.−9:15 p.m.

• Tuesday, April 11: 5:15 p.m.−9:15 p.m.

· Wednesday, April 12: 5:15 p.m.−9:15 p.m.

• Thursday, April 13: 5:15 p.m.−9:15 p.m.
