Attorneys Michael Stephenson and Kimberlee Hillock from the East Lansing firm of Willingham & Coté, P.C., completed a ‘Tough Mudders’ event held June 15 and 16 at Koenig Sand & Gravel in the Oakland County village of Oxford. Hillock, who organized the epic teamwork experience, is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where she was in the Military Police, and served in Okinawa, and during Operation Desert Storm. She is a member of the American Legion post in Holt, the Marine Corps League Capital Detachment, and Women Marines Association, and volunteers as a Veteran Mentor in the Ingham and Eaton County Veteran’s Treatment Courts. She and Stephenson took part in support of Howie’s Heroes, raising funds for Oscar Mike Apparel’s foundation, oscarmike.org/pages/foundation, a provider of funding for injured veterans to stay on the move and participate in life-changing adaptive sports.
