Jackson Business and Professional Women honor Karen Hawley as 2014 Person of Achievement

Members of the Michigan Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (BPW/Michigan) gathered in Lansing on October 18. The Jackson BPW honored Karen Hawley as their Person of Achievement at that event. Jackson BPW President Dana Ashlock made the presentation.

Hawley and her husband, Bart, started and own JTV, Jackson’s local television station. Hawley, who prefers to remain “behind the scenes” in the studio, is instrumental in scheduling and showcasing local people on JTV’s shows. She has been active in the community and served on many boards and committees, including as chair of the Baker Tea.
The Jackson BPW meets at noon the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays every month at the Cascades Manor House. The mission of BPW is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information. For more information, visit www.jacksonbpw.org.
