Sara Tackett (left), Public Services Administrator at the Jackson District Library and Jodi Snyder, owner of ACRO Legal Copy Services and a member of the NALS of Jackson, handed out packets of "Equal" sweetner and a "PayDay" candy bar at the Jackson Coffee Co., on April 14, Equal Pay Day - the day it takes a woman to make what a man did the previous year alone. Women visiting the coffee shop also received a coupon for 23 percent off their purchase. Women are paid 77 cents for every dollar men are paid, and the goodies represented the missing 23 cents. The event was sponsored by the Jackson BPW (Business and Professional Women).
