Despite the rain, 108 youngsters and parents came to the Jackson County Fair on Aug. 10 and enjoyed the day with Save Our Youth. According to Save Our Youth founder and director Thomas Burke, the day was made possible with donations from the lock-up fundraiser, United Way of Jackson County, former Mayoral candidate Laura Dwyer Schlecte, Frosty Boy owner Danny Aminatti, and donations collected by Cynthia Kelley at the East Side Reunion; and with the help of volunteers Cynthia Kelley, Tami Davis, Eddie Thomas Sr., Myeshia Jones, Greg Hardrick and Harold White Jr.
