A brief re-dedication of the Victims of Violent Crimes Memorial was held Aug. 19. Because of the addition of a splash pad at Cascades Park, the Memorial is now located on Randolph Street near the intersection of W. High Street. The memorial, built in 2005, contains the names/photos of 101 victims of violent crime from Jackson County, with five added this year.
