Myron Eugene Sanderson, 83, of Spring Arbor Township, died Oct. 9.
A native of Richfield Township, Ohio, Sanderson served his country at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. He attended Bowling Green State University and received his J.D. from the University of Toledo.
Sanderson was an attorney in private practice and assistant prosecutor for the County of Jackson. In 1982 he was appointed attorney magistrate 12th District Court and held that position until his retirement in 2005. In his time as magistrate, he married over 7,000 couples.
Sanderson is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Matthew, David (Billie) and Greg; stepchildren Fr. Donald Kaufman L.C., Kathlyn Chapin, and Kristie Kaufman; and grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Oct. 16, 2019, at Queen of the Miraculous Catholic Church in Jackson. Cremation followed with burial at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Concord.
