The Mobile Law Office operated by Project SALUTE made a stop recently at the Vietnam Veteran’s Post in Roseville. Margaret Costello (center), a supervising attorney with the veteran’s law clinic operated by the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, said the visit was aimed at helping area veterans who have questions or issues regarding their disability or pension benefits. In addition to visits by the 31-foot MLO, Costello said the clinic has developed a network of more than 300 attorneys to whom veterans cases can be referred on a pro bono basis. Costello is pictured with student Eileen Whipple and Ohlen Baird, who drives the 31-foot vehicle that was donated by General Motors.
