Area woman to chair settlement group PAC

Christine Logan, executive vice president of American Settlement Centers in Farmington Hills, recently was appointed chair of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association Political Action Committee.

A member of the PAC board for two years, Logan is the first Michigan resident to serve as committee chair.

She also is a member of the NSSTA Education Committee, which plans and organizes three national educational programs each year.

NSSTA represents settlement specialists, casualty insurance companies, self-insured entities, life insurers, attorneys, and others who serve defendants and plaintiffs involved in personal injury claims.

Its PAC is an “adjunct group that is squarely focused on promoting to members of the U.S. Congress the value and security structured settlements provide,” according to Logan, who has spent 22 years in the field of settlement consulting.

A resident of Waterford and the mother of two children, Logan graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 with a degree in communications.
