Members of Macomb County’s civic and legal community gathered recently for the 14th annual “Christmas for Kids” fundraiser to benefit Care House. Those enjoying the  event at Mac & Ray’s in Harrison Township included (left to right) Dana Camphous-Peterson, Macomb County commissioner and Care House co-founder; Ed Greenup and 37th District Court Judge Dawnn Gruenburg, Care House directors; Robert Shuman; Dorie Vazquez-Nolan, Care House executive director; and Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel, who took over Jan. 1 as the county’s first executive. Vazquez-Nolan said proceeds from the event support the center’s  forensic interviewing program and other services for child victims of sexual abuse and their families in Macomb County.
