The State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section (RLPS) recently offered a Groundbreakers Breakfast Roundtable called “Show Me the Money: Non-Traditional Financing Alternatives” at the Detroit Athletic Club. The program, co-sponsored by the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, featured knowledgeable leaders in two roundtable discussions and a panel presentation that covered information on resources available to real estate professionals through various government-sponsored programs. Among those taking part in the program were (left to right) Rochelle Lento of Dykema Gossett PLLC and Troy attorney Kevin Macaddino. “Our program today is to offer attendees alternatives in financing to commercial lenders,” noted Macaddino. “Commercial lenders right now tend to be somewhat adverse to real estate risks. So we’re looking for options so that our clients can get financing for their projects.”
