Wendy Jansen, a former president of the Macomb County Bar Association, died May 8 at her Macomb Township home. She was 50.
Jansen specialized in family law and served as president of the MCBA from 1999-2000.
Friends and relatives described Jansen as an artist of great creativity and an aficionado of books.
She was a graduate of Oakland University and Detroit College of Law.
Jansen was survived by her father, David Jansen; husband, Michael Cole; stepchildren Kathleen, Patrick and Kelly Cole; sister Beth Furest; and many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service was scheduled today at 11 a.m. at Lele-Ellena Funeral Home in Macomb Township.
The family asked that memorial contributions be made to Seasons Hospice, 27355 John R, Suite 100, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
