Toronto is site of ABA meeting

Programs on matters such as healthcare reform, cross-border law practice in a global economy, cyberbullying and the impact of recent Wall Street reforms are planned as part of the American Bar Association 2011 annual meeting scheduled Aug. 4-9 in Toronto.

Prominent legal experts and speakers as well as debate on law and public policy issues will draw thousands of lawyers to the gathering in Canada.

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is the 2011 meeting headquarters.

Registration, staff offices, House of Delegates, the ABA EXPO and the Presidential CLE Centre will all be located in the South Building of the MTCC.

Meeting registrants with passports expiring prior to Feb. 10, 2012, must renew them before traveling to Toronto, as passports must be valid at least six month beyond travelers’ trip dates. Visit the U.S. Department of State website for details.

Updates about programs, events and speakers are available at ABANow.org.

With nearly 400,000 members, the American Bar Association is the largest voluntary professional membership organization in the world.
