The Consumer Bankruptcy Association recently hosted its annual judges dinner titled “Q & A with the Judges of the Eastern District” at Peking House in Royal Oak. Among those taking part in the program were (left to right) CBA Board members Caralyce Lassner and Mark Shapiro of Steinberg, Shapiro, & Clark; U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Thomas Tucker, panelist; CBA President Craig Schoener of O’Reilly Rancilio PC; and U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judges Marci McIvor, Phillip Shefferly, Walter Shapero and Daniel Opperman, all panelists. “We ask the judges to come in and talk about different issues that are either pertinent to the day or that they are seeing are recurrent themes in their courtroom,” noted Lassner.
