Macomb County Probate Court recently hosted training sessions for attorneys seeking to be placed on the court’s appointment list. The first training sessions focused on mentally ill and developmentally disabled cases followed by a seminar dealing with wills and estate matters. The sessions also provided information and updates on court policy, procedures and laws affecting various matters that fall under probate court jurisdiction. Speakers at the hearings included (left to right) Jeffrey Coval, Dr. Lynn Pantano and Debra Lux-Roland, chief attorney at the court’s mental division. The training sessions are held each year for attorneys who are either already on the court’s attorney appointment list or guardian ad litem list or who wish to be added.
