Miller Canfield lawyers and guests had an opportunity to network with David Kappos (center), under secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), at a reception at the firm while Kappos was in town opening the USPTO’s first-ever satellite office in Detroit in July. Happy to welcome Kappos were Miller Canfield’s (left to right) David Ford, Michael Coakley, Mike Palizzi and Robin Asher.
