The Wayne State University Law School Alumni Association awarded Christopher G. Darrow (left) its Presidential Award of Merit for outstanding contributions made to Wayne Law and its alumni. Happy to present Darrow with the honor was Wayne Law Alumni Association Board President Rob Kent (right) of Kitch, Drutchas, Wagner, Valitutti, & Sherbrook PC. Darrow was the driving force behind Wayne Law starting a “Patent Procurement Clinic” where law students procure patents for startup companies and independent inventors on a pro bono basis. Darrow also helped the clinic get accepted into the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Law School Clinic Certification Pilot Program which allows students to practice at the USPTO before being licensed.
