Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills celebrated Martin Luther King Day Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 21, with a panel discussion on “Civil Rights Challenges Facing Individuals in Their Communities.”  Taking part in the program were (left to right) David S. Maquera, senior attorney at DTE Energy and president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan; Rona M. Lum, corporate immigration attorney at the Law Offices of Rona M. Lum PC; Rasul Raheem, senior vice president and assistant general counsel at Bank of America and president-elect of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association; Dewnya Bazzi, attorney at Romanzi Atnip PC and president of Michigan Muslim Bar Association; Tim Cordes, attorney at Nesi and Associates PC and president of the Stonewall Bar Association of Michigan; Marla A. Linderman, attorney at Linderman Law PC and president-elect of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan; and John Nussbaumer, associate dean for Cooley Law School, Auburn Hills campus.
