The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, SE Chapter, recently hosted a membership luncheon featuring Paul Traub (center), business economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The lunch also featured a tour of the Federal Reserve Bank in Detroit. Among those welcoming Traub were (left to right) Jennifer Reese of IRR Residential — Reese Appraisals and Luncheon Chairperson Karen Bondar of United Guaranty Residential Insurance Co. During his speech, Traub discussed consumers, the housing markets, Federal Open Market Committee policy as well as transparency, interest rates, employment and inflation.
