Last year, students and faculty from Cooley Law School’s Auburn Hills campus provided more than 4,000 hours of pro bono legal services in the community. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Cooley students, faculty, and practicing attorneys again pledged to provide free legal services to those in need during the upcoming year. Retired Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Fred Mester (second from right) administered the pro bono pledge. Speaker Michael Stanley (third from left), a Cooley graduate and the 2012 recipient of the National Legal Services Corp. award for his commitment to pro bono work, talked about the benefits of pro bono work and how it tprovided him with skills he uses in his practice.  Welcoming Stanley and Mester to the campus were (left to right) Cooley student Leisha Humphrey and Cooley Assistant Dean and Professor Lisa Halushka.
