The State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section recently hosted “MCR 2.621 and 2.622: The New Playing Field for State Court Receiverships” at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy. Effective last month, the Michigan Supreme Court amended MCR 2.621 and MCR 2.622 to change the process for the court’s selection of the receiver, qualifications, appointment, duties, compensation and administration of receiverships. The seminar explained the new rules and procedures along with providing a view from the state bench on receiverships.
