The Macomb County Bar Association recently sponsored a seminar on the nuts and bolts of the Indian Child Welfare Act as well as the Michigan Indian Family Preservation Act. Featured speakers were (left) Michigan State University Law Professor Kathryn Fort and Maribeth Preston (right) with the State Court Administrators Office Child Welfare Services. Welcoming them to the event was Michelene Eberhard, chair of the MCBA’s criminal law committee, which organized the seminar along with the juvenile law committee.
