DETROIT (AP) — The wife of a federal judge who was shot as he retrieved a trash can in front of his Detroit home says a second operation on his leg went well, but his recovery will take some time
U.S. District Judge Terrence Berg, 55, was shot in the right leg last Thursday night when two would-be robbers accosted him as he retrieved a trash container.
He underwent one operation last Friday and a second procedure Monday at Detroit’s Sinai Grace Hospital.
Anita Sevier tells The Detroit News that her husband “came through well and has a long recovery road.”
The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction. No arrests have been reported.
