Retired judge addresses History Book Club

THE HISTORY BOOK CLUB featured retired Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Antonio Viviano (center) during a recent meeting at the Barnes & Noble store in Shelby Township. Viviano led a discussion on Michael Ranville's book "To Strike at a King: The Turning Point in the McCarthy Witch-Hunts." Among those on hand for the discussion were Ken Lampar (left) with Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST) and David Joseph (right). The Macomb County Bar Foundation sponsors the monthly book discussion sessions. The series was launched in 2013 to discuss books that focus on constitutional history, the Civil War, World Wars I and II, the courts and other significant historical events.
