The Young Lawyers Section of the Macomb County Bar Association along with the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan-Macomb region recently sponsored a get-together so members of the legal community could meet several new judges serving at courts in the county. The featured guests at the event at Villa Penna in Sterling Heights were Macomb County Circuit Court Judges Joseph Toia (third from left) and James Maceroni (third from right) and 37th District Court Judge Suzanne Faunce (center). Among those on hand to welcome them were (from left) Tanya Grillo with WLAM, MCBA Secretary Karen Trickey Pappas, MCBA President Donald DeNault Jr., Sherman Abdo, Goran Antovski and Sandy Jarbo, YLS chair. Maceroni and Faunce was elected last November and began serving in January. Toia was named last August by Gov. Rick Snyder to a vacancy left by the retirement of Judge John Foster.
