ROCHESTER HILLS (AP) — An area college is set to begin construction of a $5.3 million athletic facility to be used by basketball and volleyball teams.

The Oakland Press reports officials at Rochester College in Rochester Hills expect to break ground on the facility April 22.

The arena will be home to the private college’s basketball and volleyball teams, which currently play at local high school gyms.

The arena is expected to be finished in February. The facility will seat 868 for volleyball and basketball, and maximum capacity will top 1,500 including floor seating.
