Cass Tech centennial celebrated

The Cass Tech Alumni Association (CTAA) recently hosted a “Lawyers & Judges Centennial Celebration. The event featured a panel discussion, “Cass Tech Student to Cass Tech Lawyer,” at Cass Technical High School in Detroit. Speaking on the panel were Cass Tech alumni (seated, left to right) Howard Hertz of Hertz Schram PC; Conrad L. Mallett Jr., former Michigan Supreme Court justice and current chief administrative officer of the Detroit Medical Center; and Suzanne Sinclair Smith, an adjudications officer with the International Operations Division of the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations Directorate within the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the agency’s former field office director in Moscow and Amman, Jordan; along with (standing, left to right) Lois Bingham, general counsel for Yazaki Corp.; Shermane Sealey, managing member of the RSB Law firm; Jeanine Brunson, deputy chief of the Violent and Organized Crime Unit of the U.S. Attorney Office for the Eastern District of Michigan; Regina Thomas, a deputy chief counsel at the public interest law firm, Legal Aid and Defender Association; and Emory D. Moore, Jr., a labor and employment attorney at Clark Hill PLC.
