Party on tap to honor judge, court referee

Oakland County Probate Judge Elizabeth Pezzetti and Friend of the Court Referee Betty Lowenthal will be honored at a joint retirement party today at the Iroquois Club in Bloomfield Hills.

The party, which is open to the public, will begin at 5 p.m. in the Iroquois Club, located on Woodward Avenue, just north of Square Lake Road.

Pezzetti has served on the Probate Court bench for the past 16 years after a career in private practice with Dickinson Wright, where she specialized in employment, media, and education law.

Lowenthal, a past president of the Oakland County Bar Association, is a former teacher who began her legal career as a family law attorney before joining the FOC operation in Oakland County.
