Paul Jackson named executive partner of Warner Norcross and Judd Muskegon office

Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has named Paul R. Jackson executive partner of its Muskegon office.

Jackson, who concentrates his practice in tax and business law, will lead the sixteen attorneys and paralegals who practice in the office.  Muskegon is one of eight offices—the fourth in West Michigan—for Warner Norcross, which is the third largest law firm in the state.

Although Jackson's practice involves all aspects of federal income taxation, he has particular expertise in counseling pass-through entities, including partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations. He is also experienced in capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, redemptions, incorporations and liquidations.

His degrees include a B.A. from Univrsity of Michigan, a J.D. from University of Pittsburgh, and an LL.M. in Taxation from University of Florida.

An AV Preeminent Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, Jackson is a former treasurer and former secretary of the Muskegon County Bar Association. He is currently is a member of the American Bar Association, including its Taxation Section and of the Pennsylvania Bar Association,
and is a former member of the State Bar of Michigan Council of Taxation Section (2004-07, 1989-92).

Jackson has served on the boards of the Muskegon County United Way and the Muskegon Country Club where he was president in 2011. He is also a past director of the Muskegon Civic Theatre and the former chair of the board of the West Michigan Symphony.
