Pipeline protest

The Enbridge pipeline which carries light crude oil under the Straits of Mackinaw is “celebrating” its 65th birthday this year. Labor Day Weekend protestors near the Mackinac Bridge said that it is falling apart with the potential to leak, with disastrous results.

Government-sanctioned and independent reports all show it is failing, so a large group paddled out into the water to send the message that, like the majority of workers, at age 65 it should retire.
