Black History Trivia Contest set for February 6

The 7th Annual Black History Trivia Contest hosted by the Hackley Public Library, is slated for 2 p.m., Saturday, February 6, via Zoom.

Teams will be asked questions on Black History, and prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. Please limit your team to no more than 4 people.

You can register your team on HPL’s Facebook page, by calling 231-722-8011, or by stopping by the library.

Closer to the event, registrants will receive an email with a link to participate the program. 

The contest is free to enter.

Museum offers ‘At Home’ activities

The Lakeshore Museum offers  fun activities to do at home. They include ‘Mastodons on the Loose’ scavenger hunt; coloring pages to download; Name Game/Streets of Muskegon; Nature Scavenger Hunt; Architecture Scavenger Hunt; activity sheets; podcasts; crafts for young children; virtual tours; and much more. Teen Book Club set for February 26

The Muskegon Area District Library offers a new Teen Book Club, meeting 4-4:30 p.m., Feb. 26. Registration is available on the madl.org calendar.  You must be 13 to 18 years old and will need a Discord account.

Symphony offers virtual concerts

The West Michigan Symphony’s virtual concert hall offers “A Portrait of America,” at 7: 30 p.m.,  Friday, Feb.  12. This musical celebration features three great American composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. Visit https://westmichigansymphony.org/
