'Lenten Evening of Reflection'

 The Catholic Lawyers Society (CLS) hosted a “Lenten Evening of Reflection” on Wednesday, March 16, at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.  

Among those taking part in the evening were (left to right) CLS Treasurer Steven Grobbel of Bellanca, Beattie, & De Lisle PC; Matthew Dawson, law clerk to Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Christopher Murray; Mike Condit of Condit, McGarry, Schloff, & Graham; CLS President Patricia Rossi Galvin; Edward Peters; retired Judge Paul Teranes of Garber & Mayers PLLC; Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Christopher Murray; Grosse Pointe attorney Jane Sullivan Colombo; Assistant U.S.  Attorney Terry Berg; and CLS Vice President Saulius  Polteraitis of Foley, Baron, & Metzger PLLC.  

Edward Peters, who is the Edmund Cardinal Szoka Chair at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, provided a look at the difference between cannon and civil law.
