Meeting the challenge
The New Lawyers Committee (NLC) of the Oakland County Bar Association coordinated an OCBA Forgotten Harvest Challenge Day on Saturday, April 30, at the Forgotten Harvest Offices in Oak Park.
Family and friends of the NLC, OCBA Board of Directors, the Public Service Committee, and the OCBA membership assisted with bulk conversion—the process of breaking down large boxes of food into smaller packages for distribution.
The group packed 5,226.75 pounds of groceries.
Among those lending a hand were (kneeling front, left to right) Alexandra Elliot, Lisa Elliot, Marc Elliot, and Elise Elliot, along with (standing, left to right) Jenna Huskinson, Nameer Kajy, Erica Barrett, Todd Barrett, Vicky King, Mark Harper, Bonnie Beutler, Caitlin Kashef, Kaveh Kashef, Tessa Howlett, Jemma Howlett, Tom Howlett, Kim Howlett, Matthew Wood, Kelly Greig, and Diana Shkreli. Also helping out but not pictured were Sarah Harwood, Jennifer Grieco, and Meadow.
