Commissioner achieves perfect attendance
Oakland County Commissioner Bill Dwyer has achieved perfect attendance during the 2011 legislative session as a member of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. He has attended all twenty-two full board meetings of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and 71 committee meetings for a total of 93 meetings.
Dwyer represents the 14th District of Farmington/ Farmington Hills and is a Republican. The twenty-five Oakland County Board of Commissioners is the "legislature" for Oakland County. The Board of Commissioners creates policy and oversees an annual budget of over $750 million.
Since taking office in January 2011, Dwyer has been very diligent in policy matters serving as chair of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Ethics Ad Hoc Committee while hosting a series of community meetings for seniors and the public.
As a member of the Board of Commissioners, Dwyer serves as the Ethics Ad Hoc Committee chairperson. He is the Oakland County Board Public Services Committee vice chairperson and is a member of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Finance Committee and Human Resource Committee. He serves as chair of the Parity Task Force and is a member of the audit and legislative committees.
